Subscription Databases
Subscription databases are the first place to check for accurate and evaluated information. Much of the information found on subscription databases are part of the “invisible web” and won’t show up in general searches. Our school, district, and/or state pay for these databases, because they offer credible, reliable and current information. All subscription databases are available at school only.
World Book Encyclopedia
World Book Web is a perfect starting place for all kinds of information. World Book Web includes Atlases, Dictionary, Maps, Videos, Photos, Biography Center, Current News, and editor approved Websites and Magazine articles.
Student Resources in Context
SRC provides a selection of original reference material, overviews, critical essays, primary source documents and full-text magazines and newspapers with audio and video clips, photographs, maps and graphics
Non-Subscription Databases
Non-subscription databases are found on the internet and are available for free. The websites included in searches are evaluated and chosen editors by human editors. Check out the general databases which are reliable sources for information in Research Resources
